Find out exactly what's working across your estate, and what isn't

60 minutes. No system access. No cost.

The time between a problem and understanding it is the part nobody measures

Your tools tell you when something changes. A latency spike, a device dropping off, a terminal responding more slowly than it did an hour ago. What takes longer is establishing that those events are one incident, working out which sites it touches and identifying what is causing it.

That gap sits inside how quickly your team can prioritise and act, and on most estates it is larger than it needs to be.

01

Stores find it first

Frontline colleagues raise the symptom before central monitoring shows the pattern across sites.

02

Root cause takes legwork

Establishing whether it is POS, network, IoT or energy means cross-referencing systems that do not talk to each other.

03

One dashboard per vendor

Each supplier brings its own view, and none of them describes the estate as a whole.

The review puts a clear picture on each of these for your estate.

Five areas, scored against how multi-site retail estates operate

The session works through five areas. Each is scored, and each score comes with the reasoning behind it.

01

Signal coverage
Which systems across POS, network, IoT and energy currently report into a central view, and which are visible only at site level or through a supplier portal.

02

Detection
How an operational change first reaches your team today, and how often that route starts with a store rather than a system.

03

Correlation
Whether related events across different systems are brought together as one incident, and what that currently takes in manual effort.

04

Business context
Whether an incident record carries the site, trading period and scope needed to rank it against everything else open.

05

Remediation path
How a confirmed cause reaches the person who can act on it, and how often that results in a site visit.

Each area is scored on a five-point scale, with your strongest and weakest points called out individually.

How the 60 minutes runs

Choose a time

The session

We work through the five areas together. No system access, no credentials and no installation.

Scoring and analysis

We score each area against how multi-site retail estates typically operate and identify the points where operational understanding is slowest to form.

Your report

A written report follows within five working days, covering your scores and the reasoning behind them.

From booking to findings is usually a single 60-minute call.

What you walk away with

The review is built to be useful whether or not you continue with HelmCore afterwards.

A written report

Delivered within five working days, with a score for each of the five areas and the reasoning behind it.

Strongest and weakest points

Named individually on the call, not buried in a general summary.

A signal coverage map

Which sources reach a central view today, and which do not.

A prioritised list

What to address first, second and third.

For the budget conversation

The findings are framed so they can go to Finance without translation: where operational exposure sits in your estate, and what would need to change to reduce it.

Built for multi-site retail estates with a central IT function

The review is designed around how distributed retail estates operate. It fits best where the following are true.

01

30 or more sites

The review is built around physical store estates and the systems inside them.

02

Centrally managed IT

Infrastructure run centrally, not site by site.

03

Right sector

Convenience & fuel, grocery, food & beverage including QSR, or logistics.

04

Estate uptime owner

A team already carrying responsibility for uptime.

A conversation, not a connection

The review runs on what you tell us during the call. There is no installation, no integration and no access to your systems or credentials at any point. Anything you share stays inside the review and is covered by our confidentiality terms.

Common questions

What does the Retail Visibility Review cost?
The Retail Visibility Review is free. There is no obligation to proceed with HelmCore afterwards, and the report is yours to keep and circulate.
How long does the session take?
The session runs for 60 minutes by video call. Your written report follows within five working days.
Do you need access to our systems?
No. The review is based on the conversation during the session. There is no installation, no integration and no request for credentials at any stage.
Who should attend from our side?
The person who owns estate uptime is the one who matters most, usually an IT manager, IT director or head of retail operations. Anyone who handles incident escalation is useful to have on the call.
What is the Detection Gap?
The Detection Gap is the elapsed time between the first meaningful operational deviation in a retail estate and the point at which the organisation has enough context to understand, prioritise and act on it. HelmCore uses it as a way of measuring the part of the incident lifecycle that sits between technical telemetry and formal incident management.
What happens after we receive the report?
The report is yours. If you want to go further, the next step is an Estate Health Snapshot, which uses live data from a small number of your sites over a short period.
What is Retail Operational Intelligence?
Retail Operational Intelligence connects operational signals across POS, network, IoT and energy into a single view of a distributed retail estate, adds site and business context to them, and translates what is happening technically into what it means commercially.
